We all see the different pictures we have above our screen names, and many are self explanatory. But some......well.......aren't. Just looking for an explanation for your avatars, and maybe what they mean to you. It might be educational for some, funny to others. Many seem to be hobbies, seasonal, our pets, our stoves, our family, our trucks, etc and some are just?????

Mine is of Maple, during a dove hunt, I liked the way she looked and put it up. :)

I'll have to get back to you on this one. It takes awhile to explain.
Or like the t-shirt says, "If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand!"

This is one of the medallions on the side fenders of our Ideal Steel stove. My DW loved the looks of our previous stove, a VC Encore 2550, which was georgeous. But it was a finicky stove - sometimes it could go nuclear and sometimes just stall out and smolder. So, seeing the IS beta stoves and the threads by knowledgeable but sceptical folks here and the successes they had, and the awesome reputation that Woodstock has, I wanted an IS. My DW wasn't too excited by the looks of the IS (it grows on ya) so I invited her to choose the patterns and colors of an IS. Maybe because she had some input as to the color and options, we could get the IS and it was installed Oct 2014. Something like the "Ikea effect". I really like the stove and show that in my avatar.

Mine is one of our four dogs along on for the ride back from scrounging. Instead of a hound dog...he's a scrounge dog. :)

Mine is my head cropped onto a muffin.

    Preface, I'm hypoglycemic.

While at a local monthly motorcycle breakfast gathering i was having a hypo episode. It was November and the normal burger guys were closed up for the season, and i hate the breakfast put on by the VFW that hosts the event. In dire need of food i found the ladies auxiliary. They normally just has coffee and sodas but had muffins this time. Not being a normal muffin fanboy i chose what was most visually appealing, French Toast flavor, made with maple syrup and had brown sugar tossed on the top..... I was in heaven as the endorphins were being released and my low blood sugar rage was being replaced with sugar euphoria. As i was telling all of my buddies that they needed to get one these things, since they were "Gosh darn amazing!!", i had no clue i was making myself a nickname. The muffinman........ After that i found a muffin on the web and cropped my head on. Its been my avatar everywhere ever since.

Mine's my newest family member, William, the same weekend we got him at 8 weeks of age this summer.

He's over 60 lbs now, just shy of 6 months and growing. IMG_20151129_131103197.jpg

My screen name comes from when I moved to the high plains of wyoming, ~7400ft. Different avatars have reflected my genetically inherited illness, my sweet as can be super star hunting dog from a few years ago, my different stoves, my current deskmate (www's antelope mount that still cant say what he appears to by trying to say unclefess ), and currently, my beloved ole truck in my signature taken just a few months ago at about 9000ft:)
