What are the drive Link counts for 3/8 drive echo 20 inch bar, and 24 inch bar? A friend bought a 590 timberwolf and I have heard that the drivelink counts are different from Husqvarna.
The factory 20" bar on the cs590 uses a 70 DL chain. Stihl and Husqvarna use 72 on what they call a 20" bar.
Makita/ dolmar also uses 72 drivelinks on a 20" 3/8" . That's odd that echo is the oddball. I love it that my buddy's 460 mag Stihl uses the same chain as my dolkita 6421. We always have a couple spares this way. What's the gauge of the echo?
Not odd at all, lots of manufacturers use different DL counts especially if you're into older saws. Having the same DL count from one manufacturer to another is a very recent thing .050" gauge not that it really matters.
