campinspecter and I have been planning to make a cross-country trip of Canada for the last 40 years. Now that I am retired again!, we decided that this is the year. Mom gave us her blessings and said she would be fine without us.
So May 13 saw us loaded up and ready to go. I didn't get any pics because 1 I forgot and 2 it was drizzling rain.
Our first day saw us stop and have the bearing on the RV repacked and the batteries topped up.
Our first night was an off grid campsite at a provincial park. Sorry, again no pics.
Second day had us at the Toyota dealership for a safety recall on the axles. All good and no problems.
That night we were at campground close to the ferry for the next morning.
    Our site for the night.

Shadow is doing well adjusting to different situations and the travel

In the ferry line up the next day. A lot of transport trucks and RVs waiting to get on.

On we are boarding the ferry. It is about a 2 hour ride to the mainland of Canada

Another off grid campsite in a provincial park. We have moved from the lush growth of the coast to a drier climate.

The river was running pretty good. IMG_0248.JPEG

We have to be starting back before October as campgrounds up here start closing then. I guess in some places outside of Vancouver Island, winter happens.

So glad you are able to make that adventurous trip. Hope you have a chance to see the Cabot trail in Nova Scotia. My mother's side of the family is from Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia. Beautiful place. In New Brunswick, there is the Bay of Fundy with enormous tides. I always wanted to see Quebec City. It is just 225 miles from here but I've never made the time to go. I am told it is very much like visiting Europe. I know very little French so don't know how I would get around.

Cheers and safe travels! As said keep the pics coming. As far as translation most all smart phones have or or anble it install a translator app if needed. I was recently at a friends family gathering some distant relatives were there. They pretty much only spoke French. The phone made communication possible other than basic yes or no. Pretty neat.
