Cookies - it seems I can’t pass up the opportunity to slice off healthy sized cookies from those “left-over-nobody-wants” crotches scattered about in the wood lot and/or scrounge areas.

    What’s not to like?
    - They integrate fine into the wood stacks
    - When working on that three year plan every little bit helps
    - Looks to me that they burn up just as well as splits

Only issue I see is they get me thinkin bout that other kind of cookie so then I have to swing by the local grocery store.

    What say you?

I prefer the chunks and the uglies, but I do burn cookies.

I dont mind them at all, a by product of my scrounging. I have close to five cord of the darn things and have been leaving them behind lately at my Asplundh roadside scores when i can. I keep them separate from my regular splits. Have a few mounds of them awaiting a pallet bin to store them in. The smallest ones ill put in crates for the fire pit next year. Sure. If it's wood, and fits in my stove, it gets burned.

Regarding the other kind, toll house or oatmeal raisin, thank you very much. With a glass of very cold milk.

When i was a young fat kid i would fill a glass with chips ahoy or Oreos, even those vanilla fingers and then fill the glass with milk. Let it sit for a few minutes and you get fat kid pudding. Oh man now im an old fat kid and some things never change. Im goin to get some cookies.

I take everything including crotches+cookies and leave only saw dust (especially if I need kindling).

My wife sends me to the woods with brownies, sorry no cookies.

I have a lot of cookies! I had several cord css
And bought a new stove. Ended up liking to burn NS in our ideal steel. So cutting down 20” splits to 16”. The ash and quick starting wood I’m splitting the cookies into kindling. The oak and locusts I will burn. I’m keeping them in totes. I’m waiting on all of it to dry before I trim it down. It a major pain but I’ll deal with it. Several cord to go. I built this stand to help with the trimming down. We have also bought a fireview and it takes 16” splits so in time all my stuff asks will be 16”.
