Didn't get too much but it felt good to fire up the saw again, it's been a while. The best part is I just cut up the top which had broke off. Saving the rest for another day :D

Oak. The top broke off recently and that is what i cleaned up today. Here is the rest. :saw:
I'll need a little bit more time to finish this up, but it should make for a nice stack.

Nice work in getting that top cleaned up. The rest of that oak is not long for the saw either.

It was a nice morning for it. Not too hot and not too many skeeters :heidi:

Pql1, there are not as many skeeters here as we've had the last few years and it really seems good. Still, we had an inch of rain and that seems to have hatched a few more. Thank God for Thermacells.

That is some nice oak. Is that black oak?

Pretty sur it's bur oak, it will be a while before it's ready for the fire but no problem there. We've had a fair amount of rain lately, but the heat is just starting to hit so I think in the near future there will be lots of buzzin' happening. :hair:

It doesn't take very many "little bit" scores to add up to a "big bunch" of firewood. Those look like nice straight grain rounds. Ya done good!

Like Gark said, a bunch of small scores like that one adds up quick.

The good thing about that trunk is you can get it whenever you want. No hurry since its still alive. :)
