have not burned them.. myself I would have bought a couple bags to try before springing for a ton.[ if they let u buy single bags].
problem here is what burns awsome for me might be horrible for you depending on stove model, how well or not it is cleaned, maintained etc.
" They burned awsome with great heat." or, " horrible... too much ash. never buy again." you get the picture...:hair:
compareing apples and oranges when it comes to pellets because of the varibles in burning. best to try a few bags if possible.
btw: least amount of complaints here seem to come from good Softwoods.
then again, hardwoods may outnumber softies 3-1..

Yeah I was just curious if anyone has burned them. I think I might try and get like 5 bags to try. I just heard they used to be top of the line but idk. I know okanagan platinum used to be great but a guy on Facebook told me they were junk. Lots of ash.

Burned them about 5 years ago. Top quality hardwood. I just prefer softwood. That's a pretty good price. I think they are 285 here.

I totally agree. I would rather burn softies but it seems like the only softies I can find are over priced.

It’s a decent price for a good quality hardwood pellet. Would prefer to see them closer to $250, but sure would spring at $279 if needed some this time of season. Look at it this way, the boxes are getting $249 - $259 so an extra few bucks for cubex is fine. For what it’s worth the places that sell them around here are asking $289 - $309 these days.

Agree. My dealer sells good softwoods for same price box stores get for highash hardwoods. Early spring sales is the time to buy if you have room

They burn good in my Fahrenheit with lot's of heat and they create a left hand turd in my Harman. Like everyone says, different results in different stoves;)
It's a quality pellet to try, you never know until you try it :smoke:

Great pellet awesome heat minimal ash you will be happy , at this time the price is decent. I burned 7 ton of them last year and loved them. They burn great in both of my Harmans.

I picked up a ton at fireside showcase in seekonk about a month ago. went with the intention of getting lacrete but saw the cubex and sprung for 60 bags. Great heat but a ton of ash. In my xxv they create a speed bump and blackened the inside of the stove pretty bad. So I recently installed a cb1200 in my basement. Burned okie Doug fir, lgs and green supreme lignetics and stove and pot were clean as a whistle. Yesterday I threw in a bag of cubex and while they are the hottest of all the Pellets I’ve tried so far they are definitely by far the ashiest. Pics are after burning about 3/4 of a bag

That was my experience with them years ago. I was actually going to buy 2 bags today to try them again but my dealer was out. I ended up buying 15 bags of Platinums.

Batch variance. Depends on what kind of wood flooring scrap goes into each run. Luck of the draw, really.

If it was just in my xxv I’d be tearing into to it cleaning. But it’s both stoves while burning the cubex.heat is phenomenal though

My P61a loves Cubex. Haven't burned any of this year's offerings though. Did have some from last year and they were no ash and hot.
