Just picked up this bad boy for 20 bucks Any idea on where to find ID marks? I know it came from the Benton PA area
That does look like a nice one. Do you plan on getting it tuned up for (occasional) use it or will you make a wall ornament out of it? Or both? I got my 48” saw sharpened last fall. They are fun to make a few cuts with.
I sent mine to Dolly Chapman—>. Chapman's Sharp Crosscut Saws. She did an excellent job. I would highly recommend her.
That saw has spent a lot of time in the filing jig. Usually the teeth are well under ( protrude deeper than ) the ends of the saw. My guess is that saw has cut A LOT of wood ! It may be quite old.
