Figured there would be a few here who would appreciate it. On the floor next.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll forward your feedback to my buddy who does the stonework. He is a commercial mason that does this as well as masonry chimney repair, hearth's etc. on the side. I told him to give up the outdoor heavy block slinging work for this work! This was completed while my wife and I were away on vacation. It was a treat to come home to.

brenndatomu this is indeed a BK Sirocco 20 series. Cranking along right now. Keeping up nicely at 2F outside and heading for teens below zero tonight. Guessing you will get some of this balmy weather as it heads that way? Brrrrrrr. Nooo good!

Thanks. It was time I got the stone done. My better half was... Shall we say. Encouraging me to get it done! I have ran this stove since '16 without finishing the setup. It is nice to see the stone over sheetrock. The flooring is next.

For fear of being called out as a fanboy I can say this stove is beyond anything I could have expected. The advertised burn times are easily attained during shoulder/milder seasons. Even the burn times during very cold weather are amazing. I've experienced no mechanical or quality issues at all. My catalytic combustor is original going on my fifth season burning 24/7. I do have a new replacement Cat combustor on hand but have decided my regular vacuuming of the Cat. face and rear have kept the original effective. PM if you have any questions.

We are still trying to decide what to put on the floor. I have enough tile to do the job and may go that route. The tile I have is a little lighter color which I thought about grouting with a nice dark stone matching color. It may work well to lighten up that area. Give it some color contrast etc. We shall see.

I did my hearth with this. It comes in about 3 shades of grey to brown. I'm very satisfied. Doesn't look like tile thanks to the wavy seams. [IMG][IMG]

The Boxer is holding my reading material next to my couch:whistle: It's just to the right of the pics I posted. It is still unused. I knew I had to remove whatever stove was installed to do the floor. The Boxer is much larger and takes more effort to move. I know I need to hook it up for a review as there are few if any that I have found.
