blacksmith and I have been busy knocking out the Coronawood all "2nd Winter" (aka spring round these parts), working a big job right now in a nearby town removing 23 trees (4 of them were big dead ash), some pics for your enjoyment..... Yours truly piecing some of the limbs and tops out of those nasty dead ash trees. They are very dangerous to climb, we make sure we did it as safely as could be done..... A little shot from the GoPro..... We had our good buddy Duane(Pa) stop over to run some saws the one evening......was great to see him! Even put him in an honorary B.F. McDonald hardhat! blacksmith taking one of the taller spruces down..... Hope all of yinz are staying safe and healthy throughout this garbage...... Post up some pics of the "coronawood" that you've been working........ God Bless, all. Stay safe and heathy!
Sounds like a great job there Scotty. Nice to have great help with you too. Tell blacksmith Joe we said Hello. But I do not understand why you would noodle a simple ash tree like that????!!!! One of the easiest woods to split but using the saw to split it? But then, you know I am not someone who noodles, so carry on.
Scotty’s customer’s neighbor has to lug it away. Just for his convenience (and give me a chance to run a “real” worksaw)
As Duane said, we gave most of that ash to the neighbor, and Duane wanted to have some saw fun...... It was a mini-GTG, and we all had a good time!
Dead spruce i took down Monday. Never have used a cherry picker before. Working next to a tree top while it and the bucket were swaying in the breeze has earned me a whole new respect of how you do it. Blow over sugar maple i cleaned up for a customer last week
On the phone from 05:45 to 16:00, working remote 2 days a week now. Busted out back at 16:01 to work this oak.
