    Hello
    What do you guys do?
I got the wire wheel on the drill driver to get a layer of the black carbon off.
Then put it in the Blasting Cabinet and blasted with white aluminum oxide.
This cleaned it up well with a dull finish
The last step I used the wire wheel again to give it a nice shiny polished finish!
Pic 1 - Dirty wear plate
Pic 2 - wire wheeling the first layer off
Pic 3 & 4 - Blasting with the white aluminum oxide
Pic 5 & 6 - made it shiny with the wire wheel
    Pic 7 - All done!
    See my blast media here
What Blast Media do you use for cleaning pellet stove parts - just got these 3 ??
    See blast cabinet pics here
Refurbishing an Abrasion Blasting Cabinet - any tips?

Maybe he was joking about making it shine more?

once in a while if i am super bored i take it outside and hit it with the wire wheel on a pneumatic thing i forget the name but its like a dremel on steroids. cleans it up real nice. then it goes right back in the stove.

Once a week I always take a wire wheel to my burnpot's after scraping the carbon off with a flat head screwdriver . Take it down to bare shiny metal and it functions beautifully after a good cleaning and wire wheel tune up . Apart of my weekly OCD cleaning .
