This social distancing has some benefits. Not crowded at all. [IMG]

    That's beautiful!
I dug razor calms in Alaska on the east side of Cook Inlet.
    Makes for a full day.
Nothing like being elbow deep 'rastl'n w/a big one....
and the tide is coming in.

Limit is only 15 here now so usually doesn’t take long. And tides not as large here.
Funny how it changes from day to day. The day before they were shallow and right on the surface in the surf and yesterday they were all deep in the sand.

    Good clams for chowder.

    How do you prepare them?

Dipped in egg, coated with saltine cracker crumbs and fried quick in oil.

    I think it just opened.
Used to dig ducks all the time. My Wif liked them in chowder but to "sweet" tasting for me. I preferred the breast sliced and quick fried or the siphon sliced and pounded then quick fried. If you found them in the rocky gravel, they would be much shallower to dig but somewhat smaller than in the sand/silt. I always told my wife that we only kept the "male" geoducks!
