    What is this light fluffy stuff after cleaning kinda brown very fluffy is it from the rutland creosote remover?

    Looks like soot, creosote is black, flaky, shiny hard chunks sometimes depending on the level. What you have is good if you get stuff from your chimney.

    Normal byproduct of good burning.
    No experience with creosote remover products. Shouldn't be needed if firewood is good and burn habits are too.

    Thank you I try and burn dry where I'm at in the pnw some my wood gets sideways rain little wet... I take it soot can ignite just as easy as creosote?

    Nah, soot is not the fire hazard that creosote is...not sure it will even burn at all...
