Moose aren't askeered of anything. At my old place, when I was working 3rd shift so slept during the day, we had our HuskyX on a runner in the front yard between the house and the driveway. A moose walked up the driveway and thru the yard within 5 feet of the dog as he was barking his head off and lunging. Moose didn't hurry, look at the dog, or anything - was pretty much teasing the dog. Moseyed on his way around back of the house and out into the woods. Glad the moose decided to just tease instead of confront the dog!

Investigating the atv. One was thinking the seat would make a nice nesting area.

Have you started to get eggs on a regular basis yet?

We sure have! Getting around a half dozen consistently every day now. In fact they are singing their egg song as i write this. Most are medium sized still with the occasional large egg. In time, they'll be X-Lg!

I dug a small pond yesterday after cleaning up that pile of wood the previous owners left us. That was a wet area if some of you remember that were here. I just kept digging down about ,ohhh, almost 4 feet, and the radius is about 18'x12ish feet. So the mini pond goes from about 6"-8" deep to 3 1/2 feet in depth. Dawn is hoping to plant some moisture loving vegetation and it'll be a nice place for the dogs to get wet.

So time ago, I put a battery powered fence around the garden. Two strands, one low and one high. I was working in there. Bent foward, forgetting that when you mean forward you butt goes the other direction and your shirt pulls up. Plumbers crack touches hot wire. No longer bent over then. I knew then that it really works.:headbang:

Yea, it's just a little thing. It's a bit muddy at the moment, we'll see if it clears up in a week or so.

Dawn and i worked hard on the pond build today. Started as just a wet area, I dig a ditch, got rid of most of the water and was able to plant grass seed. Fast forward to last weekend, moved some old wood, rutted everything up, Dawn wanted pond. Pond was dug last weekend, I added drainage this past week and she planted a bunch of stuff while I hand placed every boulder, rock, and stone today. I'm beat, done for the day.
