    Got a call last night that a local farmer had a cherry tree down in one of his hay fields. We took the job...and the wood!

    That was a nice sized cherry.

    That's always great wood. It seasons quickly and smells great.

    Yes, the all the wood is in those two trucks. Before we loaded the trucks we took all the slash down to the hedge row so that it was out of the farmers way.

    My next-door neighbor has an enormous cherry standing in the back yard -- better than 3' DBH and sparse, with another dead limb or two each year. Every time I happen to notice it outside my window, I feel a bit like a circling vulture.
