image.jpg It is that ugly time again.
The giant wall clock in the foyer never got set to daylight savings time because since my fall, I can't climb up a ladder. Now it is all set. I just hope the batteries last a while longer.

And..... a reminder to change the batteries in your carbon monoxide & smoke detectors and give them a test push.

And, as always, time travel goes better with a bit of alcohol and protein in your system-- and always know where your towel is!

Aaaa. Thanks saves! I was not thinking of that. Now I am thinking about the fact that I am losing an hour of sleep. So I will have to go to bed a little early for a Saturday night, and sleep in a little late to make up for that hour!

Gas, if I'm not mistaken, we get an extra hour of sleep for this one. We lose one next spring.
    Fall back= 5am becomes 4am.
    Spring forward= 5am becomes 6am.
    Rest easy brother. JB

How did I gain an hour if I usually get up at 5 am and now it is becoming 4am?

When you wake up at 5, it'll really still be 4,.......go back to sleep for another hour.
ETA: Unless you change your clocks before bed, then don't do that. You'll be late.

Well, the new time on the clock will show 4:00, but it'll feel like 5:00 to you. So....you'll have an hour to kill before you have to be anywhere. Me?- I'm gonna really enjoy that extra hour in bed. Driving home in the dark, not so much.

Yup. If I showed up for work early, they'd ask for ID and thumbprints or such. Pod people, they worry about that.;)

When I showed up early, it was expected.
    I know, I'm weird.

Ok, I'll go there but then I'm done for the night, I gotta sleep.
    Our hours are 8-5.
I show up between 7:55- 8:20 on normal days, depending on traffic. Traffic is the key. Snow days I don't have a clue. When they close the highway for avalanche blasting, I don't have a clue. When the plow trucks are 3 wide at 30mph, I don't have a clue. They know I leave my house at 7:30 in the morning, to go 32 miles. I show up when I get there.
One of the benefits of working with a family owned business.
10 years ago I was scolded about being late. I responded with-" What time am I getting off tonight?" no answer. We work late, well past shop hours, almost daily. So for me, a non issue. And they don't bother to bring it up anymore. :smoke:

Not weird at all. My wife is at her job like an hour early, everyday. She is weird.

So, you have a flexible work schedule then.
They need you to work, you have to be flexible. :hair:
I am SOOOO glad to not be working anymore.....away from home.

As others have stated, you will gain an extra hour of sleep.

In the Spring we "jump" forward an hour. That's when you lose some sleep.

So rest well my friend. You get an extra hour :D
