I think i have 3 or4 of those wagner "originals" commemorative skillets that i use often. I kinda like that they're thick and heavy. They hold the heat well for searing

I have an electrolysis bath. It's going now on the ERIE pan. It takes a couple days but it does a beautiful job!

I wonder why people let them go like that? They are such a gem. :)

I have the same one as Dave.

I ordered from Agri-supply a while back and actually ordered a single burner one , when it arrived the double burner showed up.

It had a note on it saying " We are sorry but the item you ordered was out of stock " and they actually gave me the next one up as a replacement.
Not what I was expecting but can't complain about that one.

Here's the ERIE after 18 hours in the tank, she's cleaning up well. some pics of the next few I'm gonna do now that it's nice outside. The water was clear yesterday when I started, notice the scrap metal on the sides collecting the rust.

    Thanks for the link.

I cook a lot at home and love cast iron. Anytime I can use cast iron I do so. There are a few exceptions when I won't but 90% of the time it is CI.

Amazing that someone threw out that Erie. That would be my cast iron score of a lifetime. I have one Erie #8 in fantastic shape I paid $40 for at a local antique mall, which even that I thought was quite a deal.

I'll be pulling the ERIE out this morning sometime. It'll have about 36 hours in the tub, see if it needs more time. If they are real bad 3 days is a normal.
