Fixed Broken smilies

Just noticed that myself, got one-- or didn't, actually-- in a PM.

 

Whew. For a minute there I thought I had one too many "sports drinks".

 

Glad it's a forum issue… I was sure I'd pushed one'a them buttons again and blown out the smiley's… whew…

 

Usually hot linking is discouraged and frequently banned as it is a bandwidth sucking operation for the site providing the images, it may in a lot of cases actually violate copyright law.

But what would I know?

 

I noticed it myself about an hour ago. Came to this forum to post about it and see ray already has and its the top thread so I will post here that I am late to the party.

 

Over the last couple days sometimes when I click on links on this site it opens up a window in Safari that takes me to Hearths.com or a site about bipolar disorder.

Any ideas? I haven't been to that first site in a year or so and never to the bipolar site. Someone's idea of a joke?

It did this on my iPhone and also my computer.

 

Sounds like either weve been hacked or your computer has Nate?

I have not had that problem on my phone?

 

See if you can find the links that did that and post a link to that post. That needs to be checked.

Ok in the email I got notifing me the broken smiles were working?

I know zero bout computers, but it's pretty obvious that it's not an individual problem… cause it stopped working for a whole lot of us at the same time. Is there a smiley tech out there in cyberland that fixes these all day?

 

Just in case you guys are seeing the smilies, here's a screen shot indicating which ones are not visible to many of us.

 

All working here now, but many were broken for a day or two. Seems to right itself.

 

Nope , still not working here. Look at the time. I just took this screen capture. I previously could see all smileys.??
