The other day my stove started burning poorly, so I shut it off and cleaned it, the next day and fired her back up...Burned for a couple hours and again had to shut it off as it was burning poorly once again. Next day pulled it out, cleaned the chimney and combustion blower, put her back together and started her up, Again, couple hours and still burning crappy, so shut her off again...Next day I pulled the combustion Blower (again), Convection Blower and even pulled the fan temp sensor and cleaned crap out of all it. As I never give up, I turned it on again and you probably can guess, no change in heat output. Then I finally noticed on the switch on the daughter board was toggled to high/low and I always run in manual. When I replaced the daughter board a couple weeks ago, I did not get the sliding pellet access door adjusted properly and have been lifting it up a little to close the door...Yep, The door was moving the switch to high/low mode. At least my stove is clean and maybe I will adjust the door!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....I love it Good for a few chits and giggles eh ???? I can remember a few of those deals...
try turning off the leave blower, forgetting you left it on the stove pipe and then light the stove. luckily i remember 3 minutes into it.! h haha that would have been a great pic of a molten leaf blower.
I have had a few as well one being that I forgot to put the flame guard back on after a cleaning realized it after the flame was crappy and looked next to the stove and there it sat. Another was I could not figure out why my stove would not load pellets faster than a snails pace and I only had the stove for 2 years (cussing fricking POS , Junk ) then someone said have you emptied the hopper which I had but not all the way. So i emptied the hopper again everything this time and there were a pair of reading glasses bridging the hopper opening restricting pellets, not completely but enough to where the stove would run . Big Doh and since that time I take my glasses off from hanging on my shirt before cleaning or loading my stoves. Whenever I put my stoves back together after a cleaning I go through a check list of parts that get removed to clean to make sure they go back in .... Apart of getting old I guess .
Brushed the firebox the other day and layed the paint brush on top of the flame guide while I cleaned the glass, sure enough I closed the door and turned the stove temp back up to kick on. luckily just as the stove started to ignite I seen the brush still laying inside.
What I want to know is: did you remember to contact the pellet manufacturer to complain about the reading glasses that were in their bag of pellets?
Good Stuff but no I don't remember mayhap you should check your complaint records as I am pretty sure I was burning MWP at the time Oh man getting old sucks....
