Looks good Pete now would you mind swinging by my place and making the same thing Im hungry and dont want a bowl of cereal
I'm glad you guys put this stuff up so on the days I am too tired to make it, I can at least have a look-see.
I made the gravy with 1/4 cup flower and 2.5 cups milk one package sausage links. Is that what you where asking?
We make sausage gravy and biscuits every Christmas morning. Been doing that for years. The eggs are a nice touch. My homemade biscuits are da' bomb. I'd love some of that right there, but again, I'm glad we don't live near you right now. All that crap stayed well south of us.
you could always just whip up some homemade gravy. hot bacon grease in a cast iron skillet. not a lot, just some but its gotta be hot. add flour (whatever kind floats yer boat). stir continuously until browned but not burned. add water or milk or both until you get the portion size you want (remember that it will cook down). add bacon, sausage, or nothing to taste. stir, let cook stirring occasionally (just to keep it from clumping or burning), until bubbling. put on biscuits. you can make it as thick or thin as you desire. an interesting touch is if you sprinkle a little instant coffee in it while you're browning the flour. just got to make sure the flour is cooked.
Pete looks good! We made some gravy yesterday, had it a way I love though a little different. Learned to like pancakes with sausage gravy and a little (real) syrup while we were in the south.
yes, I just wasn't sure what meat you would be making gravy from. I thought it might be chicken gravy.
Christmas morning here is eggs broiled in ham drippings from the night before - once a year triple bypass special. They are the best poached/broiled/fried egg a man can ever eat. GF has plans for B&G on these cold days coming up - couple times a year ain't gonna kill ya
