We gotback from vacation on monday and when i returned to work tuesday my boss had a nice suprise for me. She said "you know all those huge logs in my front yard?" I said "yep, are ya tired of looking at them? " she replied "yes! You and your dad come take it all!" Her boyfriend's brother said he'd drop off some logs for her to cut and split. He didn't tell her he would drop off some 24-36"ers! I offered to bring her some smaller stuff but she insisted just to get it out of her yard. Best part is she's only a few miles straight down the road. Here's a quick pic. Probably 10+ cord. Hard to see the pile in the back.
Holy mother load!! I recall you are the tilt trailer & winch guy too? That should work out just fine.
10 cords Big score, good stuff :stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke::stacke:
I try not to work too hard Yep that's me and my dad, unfortunately some of them are cut a little short and that makes winching a little difficult but we'll manage
Even though it felt like the tropics today, we decided to go get one load of the smaller stuff. Mainly white oak with this first load.
I'm like the other guys, thinking, wow that's the small stuff,. what's the big stuff 4 foot, 6 foot Di ?
So....... I guess I know what you'll be doing for a while, quite a while.:stacke: . Don't forget to hydrate.
Most of the logs are in the 24" range but some are closer to 36" with a few even bigger. Honestly i probably won't touch this stuff till next year at least. Just gonna haul it home and stack them off the ground next door in dads field. My processing area is pretty packed. There's close to 10 cord in the rounds pile and another 6-8 cord in logs. Don't worry though, I'm always hydrating on days like this
