Big Buck Down 2021

This past Sunday morning I killed a nice 10 point at my place. Didn't weigh it but guessing it to be 175ish pounds and several people agreed so I'm pretty sure that's a pretty good assumption. Was an 18" inside spread.

 

Nice buck! Bow or is it gun season there?

Gun season opened Oct 11. Bow season in my area opened Sept 15. In the coastal game zones gun season comes in Aug 15!!!

A nice one but not as big as they get. I am in a good part of the state. We have big deer and my cousin and I have been very selective of what we shoot for 15 years or so. Also no "brown it's down" folks around me. People who have lots of money out of Charlotte are around me and a local who owns a lot of land with limited hunting is all around me. My land is not where my location is. I will leave it at that. I live on the Georgia side the state and hunt on the other side bordering NC.

 

I have this big 8 still on my place.

I'll eat them later. I don't have the setup or time these days to process anything myself. I take it to a processor. But they will be eaten and enjoyed.
