    Yeah... let's see anyone climb that tree faster than that bear. Don't see bears much in Maine compared to deer and moose. They do get into bird feeders and trash once in a while, but you probably won't see one while out in the woods. OK with me... o_O

    I wonder if that was Mom coming up the tree... the second bear might be a year old cub of hers. If so, that could have ended very badly if the guy didn't have a noise maker...:rootintootin:......... or :fart:

    I shot a bear one year in Maine back when your big game license came with a bear tag as well as a deer tag. I always thought that if I was lucky enough to see a bear it would be the azz end of one heading over the top of a beech ridge. I got mine at a distance of 3' or so, probably less. 204 pound boar.
