I go to make coffee the other morning, grabbed a mug which slips out of my hand and hits the glass carafe, shattering it be. Broken glass everywhere. Not what you wanna encounter half asleep with no Joe in your system. Ms. buzzsaw finds the percolater we use for camping. Took forever to brew on the glass stovetop. Not the best but sufficed.
That evening i made a trip to Walmart to but a new coffee maker. Went to grab more coffee too and no French vanilla, so grabbed "breakfast blend".
She sets the new one up so i grab the last bag of coffee from the hall closet, not realizing it had a slight tear and leave a trail of coffee grounds to the kitchen. Pull out the vacuum. As she it putting away the few groceries i picked up she points out the "breakfast blend" i bought was decaf! :hair:

Talk about a bad coffee day!

Right where I want to be.
I'd have been tempted to just get in the truck and head to the BP.

The thought did cross my mind, but im a zombie without coffee. I had to drop her off for an MRI on the other side of town at noon. I stopped at Cumberland Farms near there and got my one size fits all .99c coffee. Actually very good for a buck.

Percolator takes forever, but the coffee is 100 times better in my opinion. I usually use mine in the winter, so its about time to dust it off!

This is why I have a french press as a backup. In case the Ninja craps out.

When I go camping, making coffee is one of my group tasks.

Boil water in coffee pot on Coleman stove.
    Dump in measured coffee
    Stir
Place coffee pot on wood stove to keep hot, not boiling
    After 10 mins, stir
Stir again after another 10 mins
Pour into French press/thermos and pour to enjoy.

We're lazy. She premakes it at home, keeps it in the cooler then heat it over the coleman stove.
