Anyone out there using the Solo Stove firepits?

Not sure if this is the right forum. I'm building a new deck soon and the Solo Stoves have good reviews, seem well built and are safe for decks. TIA.

My neighbor has the bonfire unit. It's really cool. Not the biggest firepit but I will say that there is a lot less smoke coming out of it and you dont smell like a camp fire at the end of the night. After sitting around theirs several times this past summer I ordered one for myself. It's coming today.

 

Keep us posted. I want to know if it's really safe to use on decks.

 

just fired it up. Not burning on a deck though.

 

These are supposed to be suitable for decks, I’m not so sure . I think you’d need an area of slabs underneath it. Once it’s hot, you’ll be stripping down to your pants or forging swords
