I have watched some of his videos. Not a Jack Assparagus like some other guys making videos.
Always wanted to get one of those Alaskan mills ..... Give my "shelf Queen" a job.... I think my knees and other joints would go on strike though.

Yup, I'm subscribed. I made a post a while back of anybody had seen him.

He's a good guy making an honest life and living.

I've learned a bunch from him also!

I love his video" 797 cuttin maple" that is a mean sounding saw. It seems buckin billy ray is a very expert chain sharpener.

I originally found him searching weather or not to sharpen every tooth the same(every tutorial says you do) after say rocking a chain.
I now have and have been using two "rock" chains I use for dirty work that I don't have to grind the snot out of! He uses the rakers to guage how much bite that tooth will have. It's an art!

His judgement when felling seems insane, but time after time what he is trying to do works!
He calls it within inches of where a tree top will land!!!!

I'm a little late on the reply's but, he seems to be a real genuine, hard working up front guy,who actually likes what he does. Not many of that type around anymore. With him, its not all about money, he's said, that his goal is to do his tree stuff for free some day in the future, i understand his feelings, if you like your work, its NOT a job, its what you make it. He makes it look fun. He's got quite the personality and he's really down to earth. Well worth the time to watch his video's, he's been there done that, and i'd bet if you ask him, he'd tell you he's still learning. I like his video's , well worth watching.
