At the rental in door county WI. They said they had a chiminea. Dry locust chunks, silver maple sticks, and some shorty catalpa. Whatever I thought would fit in this chiminea I bought here.
That's all hops. It's a Rental house in door county., 40 minutes north of Green Bay, we're going to the Packer game with friends tomorrow. They play the Patriots. I get to bust out my old New England/ Mainer accent, heavily on the sam Adams "your cousin from Boston" ads.
... That chiminea will never be the same... Its probably seen dry wood.... Looking good Sir! Have fun at the Game tomorrow...
I was thinking the same thing. It's probably never seen dry wood. I'll see if it's still standing tomorrow, when our friends will be staying the night after the game. If it is still usable, we'll get it really going tomorrow night.
That's kinda what I thought. Looks like a reasonable fire to me Tom, might add a bit of copper for color and really impress your friends.
You know you have about enough wood in the chimnea when the flames are coming out the flue and front openings.
Definitely. There was a cracked lower left corner of the opening that fell out. It needs to be cemented in place, but when it popped out, it allowed even more air in.
