After we beta-tested the IS and AS, Woodstock gave us a good deal on a production model of the AS. It was intended as a second stove, but time passes, the household gets smaller as kids move on, and we are looking at alternatives. Short story is we are passing on the good deal we got from Woodstock.

  5. that is a really amazing lookin stove if i still lived in ma id prob take a trip to vt to buy it ..... out of curiosity is it a catalytic converter stove or no

Yes, it has a catalytic combustor. They call it a hybrid, in that it has both the catalyst as well as secondary air from the top of the firebox. The stovepipe can be attached to come off the top of the stove, vertically, or off the back of the stove, horizontally.

Oh my gosh! You live right up the road from where we're building our retirement home. Dover VT. Won't be set for a year or so. I would jump on that beauty if we were ready. Sure hope you don't sell it for another year. :)

We aren’t in a heated rush, but it seems silly to keep holding onto it year after year.
