The boy had a soccer tournament this weekend out of town on Saturday. Right next to the field I had to sit and look at this pile of Oak. Thinking of how much BTU's were there.
Yea, but betting who ever is going to be using won't let it sit for three years.... Heck, the small oak tree that I cut down lastweekend the owner said oh that make you some nice firewood this winter. I explained to her that it be at least three years before it would three years before it would be dry enough to use. She was shocked....
Ya most people I talk to about oak say the same thing. That huge pin oak I did a few years ago I talked to a guy hooked a guy up I used to work with, gave him some ash and apple I didn't have time for . He looked at my oak and said man that would be great for this winter! I looked at him and said no way I would burn it for minimum two years, this guy has heated with wood for many years and he just said O it will burn just fine this year Just shook my head and let it go as he wouldn't listen.
