I scored this nice 1/3 cord pile from a neighbor who had a Oak she had been himming and hawing about all summer, so I came home from work today and she said here's the tree! o_O

I said thank you very much! :) She had a guy come cut it down and she saved me the wood, "what a Gal"! It was in a part of her yard that was turning her house all moldy so she now has a clean wall and sun and I have free Oak BTU's!:D

Great score! Question is, will you get to burn it in 3 years? ;)

No, Colder! Were hoping to move to New Hampshire in the next couple years. Been land/house hunting up there so if the stars all line up and God willing, I'd like to be up there about spring/summer of 2018

Just hiked up there. Beautiful country. White Mountains some difficult hiking.

We hiked Katahdin and 37 miles of the 100 mile wilderness in Maine, then 10 miles in NH on the way back to PA

Good pick. Less taxes there. What part of the state do you prefer? Hope you are able to find yourself a place where you can struct your stuff and don't have anybody around who cares what you are up to. Good to be able to pee off the porch, or run the chain saw at 5 AM without having to worry that someone is going to complain.

And get waved to by people you don't even know......

.......getting vegetables from a complete stranger because you asked them if you could turn around your moving truck in a little bit of there driveway since you missed your turn.......

You were $ 4 short getting 2 vehicles inspected and they say "don't worry about it".......

Or almost back into somebody at the grocery store, have him walk towards you in concern they are upset, but instead ask about your home state and call you neighbor even though your 3 miles apart.....

....... Or during your final approach to your new home in N.H, you cross the state line, the sign "Welcome to New Hampshire, Live Free or Die" comes up, then "now entering the White mountain region" at the same time the song "it's the final count down" comes on the radio, and there is a freaking rainbow you'll pass under! :hair:

Yes folks, these were all true events!

Well Seasoned welcome to the northeast! still good people up here when you get out of cities! :D You just won't see many tree companies delivering logs to you free.. they process then and sell firewood in slow season to keep their employees full time...
