yea, as I said somewhere else, the pellet co's are citing raw material shortages, and the spring pricing we are seeing isn't really much lower, in some cases HIGHER than they are today. I can never figure out these dang markets....every year its different, and you can never really guess what's going to happen.

Have seen barefoot at 400.00. Hamer Hots 375.00
so its not just the top shelf softies that have rocketed in price.

Those are $8.00/bag or $360 presently (no delivery) in my town.

Interesting that the local Aubuchon's sold out of GS, which last I looked, the most expensive pellet they were selling (the Concord store has them at the $8.00/bag though). But the local store still has the Logik-e softies and Orford HW. I haven't burned either of those other 2, although I do have some in the basement I bought in 2021. But I'm thinking those Logik-e softies have to be better than GS.

Not sure if we are still in early buy, saw this today in Brattleboro at the Achille Agway (which is now owned by Runnings).

I just saw a big truck full of those going by yesterday. I assume it was going to the Agway in town. I'm pretty sure the early buy is over with for Achille's. I got an email last month about it (but they didn't say the price). Early buy might have only been free delivery for 3+ tons this year.

I'm not buying any this year as I still have a bunch from the HD sale spring 2022. I do need to throw in the towel, admit I'm not going to get any more work done in the basement and transfer pellets from the garage to the basement.

Seen that my local Ace got pellets in so I stopped today and grab a flyer. They won't have the AWF hardwoods until the end of the month so I will probably grad 3 ton of them when they get them IMG_20230720_194455640.jpg

2 ton (AWF hardwoods )home and stacked, gives me 3.5 ton total which is good for the season.

Jealous of those prices. Most pellet depots here are starting 375+ for pellets, and it's only August :headbang:

HD pricing took big jump last season after yrs of steady pricing. Am sure at least it will be same or higher. Deff not less. And for middle road hardwoods at best.. Green supremes. ( the former stove chows under lignetics umbrella of many GS flavors).

Really high prices considering. At this rate, I can get LG softies in CT for about the price of those Green Supremes.

Price's pretty much stink this year at the BBS! If I had too, I think A1 has a few deals for the $350/360 price tag.

How close are you to Rocky Hill?

I'll be burning biofuel, But it most likely won't be pellets!!
