The problem, for us, with this sort of thing, is real estate.
All of that stuff sitting until September is taking up room for stocking up.
It would be foolish now to take pre orders, without it being on the ground.
We saw one guy do that and got into big trouble when he could not come up with
enough product to meet the pre paids..

trucking costs are insane in some markets at the moment. committing to an early buy price without having the product in hand or a commitment from truckers makes it a crap-shoot.

our lumber wholesalers are actually in a panic looking for trucks to haul their product.....they are paying flatbed truckers DOUBLE just to get loads out.....guess what also ships on flatbeds? pellets....thats right.

    On the retail end,
Just tell them to go look out in the back of the building at Lowes,
and pick up the ones they like....

    Awesome!!!
I often see, on our local CL, people wanting 5 bucks for trash pellets!
I guess we all dream our stuff is valuable sometimes...

Soo, Agway put out their pre-season sale at $295/ton. Around here they normally sell NEWPS. Not a bad pellet, but not worth that much IMO.

All I know is with pellet prices on average over $ 300 a ton it’s making it harder to see pellet stoves as your main source of heat . I’m going to let Matra’s have first crack at the stove this season.
