It better be more like half the price they are showing for the MC's. Personally think that the $100/ton I paid a couple of years ago is about right.

I really don't care about ash. If they still burn as hot as they used to, that would be fine by me. And that isn't a bad price, just a few $$ more than for BBS or TSC pellets around here.

If those are the spring sale prices I’d hate to see the regular prices, sheesh!

I should clarify about the abundance of ash with the chows...
my problem with them or any high ash pellets is since we burn overnight,
many times i would come down in the morning and the flame would almost be smothered in the burnpot..
not always but, on nights when it wasn't running full throttle, the ash would not drop or be pushed as fast into the ashpan and start to dam up in the pot.
    my expirience anyways..

Does that for me too when the P61a is constantly running (not in constant burn, but doesn't shut down). I just wipe it out every night and morning with the scraper. Still keeps me warm and although it looks sad, doesn't cause any issues. Used to be more nervous about it, now I'm just happy when that doesn't happen because I know the ground is warmer so the stove is shutting down at times.

They have burned everything so far - never said Harman's didn't have ash from crap pellets though :D

The Harman is my 4th stove ( PDVC, Serenity, Francesca ) and every single prior stove has burned anything I have thrown in them. As a now Harman owner I can say that the whole Harman's burn anything is overated. Go ahead now flame away but it's just my first hand experience.

I believe those are drop systems versus bottom feed systems so how the ash is handled is different (I could be wrong though).

Has your stove failed to burn any pellets, or is it just you don't like the way the ash is presented? Those are 2 different issues in my mind.

Sorry no one thought to indicate the difference in feeding styles to you and that it makes you unhappy :)

Where did I say I was unhappy just stating I have had 2 bottom feeders and 2 top feeders and the Harman don't handle ashy pellets any better or any worse then the other stoves and that those other stoves burned every single crap box store pellet that I have put in them. I'm in no way complaining or saying I'm not happy with my Harman just stating first hand knowledge between the 4 different stoves that I have owned and personally used. Sorry if it offends any one but it is what it is. Ok now back to our regularly scheduled program. Those pellets are a bit pricey for most.
