A nice orchard it will be... its 15min by car away from the house.

    Thanks Jack!

I wish i could build a cabine there, its just a pasture. So planting trees is making the best use of it in my book.

I had to take down some tangled up aspen down earlier this year.
Mad some room for small oaktrees, which started growing in any direction just not towards the sky.

Hired a company to trim the hedges to the left and right.
I picked up everything by hand and made wee piles to move them later onto a big one.
Had some elder and a little bit of oak inbetween for the woodpile.

Took the McCorimck of a friend to mulch the pasture,
after this the company, who done the hedges, made the ditches properly working.

Indeed sir, the former owner seemed to disagree by the state of it. It will be better now!

She's right, good ditches keep the water moving along.

Thanks for clearing that up for him Chaz

Don't feel bad HolsatiaRedneck - I think most have made that mistake at least once on every forum I've been on. I was on a motorcycle forum for a long time in which I never corrected any of the assumptions - although I had it on my profile. But who reads those unless there is a reason too? I just went with the flow until at some point in time I either said something about my husband (now ex), or having to wear a skirt/dress or something that pointed out that I might be different from the average male-centric forum member :D.

That is a nice piece of property and looks like a great place to spend time clearing and getting some nice outdoor exercise. I was able to purchase some property after I retired and it is always good to be working on it. Getting lots of good firewood is a fine bonus too.

Yeah.. depending on the forum, that could get awkward quickly.

Unless it's a Scottish biker forum

What can you do with the brush? Are you allowed to burn it, or will you chip it eventually? It's a very attractive piece of land.

Nice pasture, but I must point something out.

You live in Northern Germany and have Dolmar as your avatar, but all the saw pics show a Swede. What gives???

haha ty Chaz , bogieb hah i didnae knew that - well now i know :)

I just do a big pile and let it rott, its good for critters. Havent spoke to the guy who leases the land for hunting
    - but it will be a good opportunity to hunt fox or martin so i leave the pile just right there.

Thanks, indeed it is, i like to spend my time there.

Thanks pal, mostly apple and plum...some quince too. Soil is too wet for pear and cherrys.
Its more an oldtime orchard, with biggrowing trees.

An eye for the details Sir! I wanted to buy the Dolmar 420 but its made in China now.... so i got a little pizzssd and bought the husky made in sweden.
I own a few Dolmar and Dolmar-Sachs but the Husky is my beater and if it ends up under the tractor tyres its replaceble...the others aint kinda.
