They were about 8x16 foot (from Austria, so 2.5x5 meters I think), and they pulled apart quite nicely! All held together by T40-head screws.
Not sure, I'm no wood ID pro. It's light and soft, I'd imagine Austrian Pine or similar. I can easily handle the 16' 4x8 glulams by myself.
If I was closer, I'd offer some of this wood I salvaged from pallets! ...really big pallets. Pallets that ski lift parts came on from Austria....
