Piece of that rubber between the muffler and cylinder is much better then any tape . You want it to hold that 7psi for at least 30sec or so and...
I'd spray it down with some water and a few drops of dawn and try to see where it's bubbling before going any further. If it's leaking that badly...

I believe these would be the large husky mount so you would need a spacer between stud and bar ..they are 20" Ernie
