I have a 2252 and a 550 . If you only had one of them with you, I don't think you would notice much difference. I run an 18" bar on them usually...
If you can find a Stihl dealer that can spin you a loop of 63ps chain for your saw, I believe you would enjoy your saw even more.
What model is that? I bet it is a good runner.
That sure was nice of Dexter Day.
I am enjoying the new forum as well as this forum.
I have only bought one non running saw and I got enough parts off of it to justify the cost. If you sold a saw as a non runner, I believe you did...
Glad to hear that Jeremy got a saw as well as the other winners who got saws.
I believe you will enjoy your new saw. It definitely looks good with that total bar on it.
Sounds like a good Christmas gift to me.
I have only got to test the weight of the 490 and it is definitely nice and light.
I was #9.
If you want to stay with Echo, I would take a look at the cs 400.
2 nice 65cc saws.
Nice saws.
I believe Jack's camera is as good as his saws after seeing some of his pictures.
If you go used, I would try to buy off of the forum. If you only use a 24" bar occasionally, you could use a 60 Cc saw with skip chain and do fine.
Have you done any mods to it yet?
Some dealers will make you a 70dl chain off of a roll. There are also several places you can order 70dl chains.
Both saws looked good. That 460 would look real good with one of those custom bars Homelite 410 is building now.
Let us know how you like it.
