This Ash has been sitting in prime ( sun, wind ) long enough moving to the shed. Have 1 cord Ash and 1 cord Oak in shed ready for next winter will finish loading shed sometime before October.
Yep, that's a good mix and looks dry. I put a little bit of Oak in the shed several days ago from the field that was still a little damp. Dryer than dry now after staying out of the elements and getting the breeze blowing through. Gooder.
Nice dry wood... Doesn't look as pretty, but I know good wood when I see it. Nice wood shed, like the flag too!
Always enjoy seeing other folks sheds on here. Helps with my inspiration to build my own someday. How much wood do you think your sheds will hold in total ?
I put about about 4.5 cords in every year and allways have some left except last winter burned it all and got some out of the stacks. It would hold more but don't want to get too high with it. My Wife does not like the wood stacked to the top. I added on the 8' extension 3 yrs after and haven't put wood in it yet even though it is intended for wood. It has my 4 wheeler in it. If I packed the shed full to the top it would hold 5.5 cords.
