I was "gifted" a few of those and they all ended up scrap metal. Didn't get $150 for them. Guess I should have posted them on CL.

I first thought this was a serious post but now I am thinking the OP is sarcasm. Sure seems like a not good deal to me!

I am about ready to give up on craigslist. seems everything posted lately is something I can buy new for cheaper. Anything that is legitimately priced is gone in 5 min! I'm getting tired looking at the same darn things that are reposted over and over again because the object is priced ridiculously.
I think many people post things on there like this...."Honey, lets put the chainsaw we bought last year at HD for $149 on CL and see if someone will be stupid enough to buy it for $200." This seems to be the case with 80 to 90 percent of anything for sale on CL.
You get a sense that a culture exists on CL where people try to make money posting half the stuff they own on there with an attitude of "I don't really need to sell it, but if someones crazy enough to buy my stuff at these prices they can have it!"
Another hobbyist culture exists as well of the people who scour CL and scoff up those legitimate good deals in order to spit shine them up and re-sell them at a profit with some phony back story.

I may have to bite the bullet and create a facebook account because I hear the community sale section on there is where it's at now.

I don't care for Facebook but their Marketplace has a LOT of items.

Facebook Marketplace is great. And there are usually sub groups to join for your local area. Easy to communicate with sellers. Never had a bad experience using it.

Yeah, I don't want to have anything to do with facebook for a number of reasons (including big brother tech corporations and their globalist agenda brainwashing and spying) but that Marketplace is becoming unavoidable lately. Someone told me that If I make an account just for my dog I will be able to access the Marketplace.

Agreed! There are tons of folks trying to slap stuff up online way way overpriced to try and make a buck. A Lot of it is just flat out hilarious. Like you said anything that is legit priced goes fast and that is key IMO with anything on FB or CL, which is why if I am looking for something specific I create an alert and be ready to jump on it quickly.

I don't do the FB thing at all, in fact I despise it along with most all social media it but I do have an account because the FB Marketplace is pretty good and you can find some good stuff.

I hear ya. I peruse FB marketplace at least daily. For the most part it’s great. There are two chainsaws that pop up constantly that have been for sale forever. Not sure why but those two saws aggravate me like crazy. Almost want to buy them just so they go away.

LOL, there's a pawn shop here that's been hawking the same several Stihl MS 290 forever. They want around 90% of new. They're nice saws but not that nice. Plus they look quite used, not even cleaned up all that well.

Kinda what I did. It's my account, but I have zero friends. Not even my wife.;). I have zero info about me, no pics, no nothing. Remember, if you post on Facebook, it's not yours anymore.

FB Marketplace is the only reason I created a FB acct.

I've not posted once, but do peruse the MP listings.
