Today, just before noon, atop Cape Smokey Mountain, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. We pulled off the road for the picture. Yep, we both have brightly flashing tail and headlights but the camera recorded the picture between flashes. As we descended the mountain the fog lifted and turned to rain, cold rain, about 54° air tem. Ah... the joys of cycle touring.
We toured Nova Scotia by motorcycle, and the rain suits were always on and off. Are you going through Cheticamp? I remember that town as being very windy.
Yep, we went through there a couple of days ago. We got lucky with the weather for climbing the mountain. We had light tailwinds and the lady that ran the hostel in Pleasant Bay took our bags in Cheticamp and carried the to the hostel so we went up the first mountain much lighter!
