It’s been a while but I dusted off a couple saws and climbing gear and lended a hand to my neighbors yesterday. They had a pine they wanted down so only one thing to do! Ended up using my little 2511t in the tree, then brought out my new ported 7910 for the drop, buck and noodle of the rest. Today I got some time to cut a pile of ash I had that’s been bugging me. Felt good to burn some gas!! Ran the old 55 rancher and the ported 262, a couple of my favorites!
Gooder work on the Norway Spruce J. Dirt! Those are fun when you run the saw through a sap pocket that seems to contain a metric chit ton of the stuff!
Yeah, that looks like Norway Spruce, not pine. I think it burns a little better than pine - if you can split it.
Ohhhh yeah it was spraying everywhere! That nice misty cloud, not to mention the 800” of rain we’ve had I think she was full up of water.
your right, what you did, is when work becomes play. I like it when i can do things like this myself, do it, get it done, then go home knowing you helped some one, and had a good time doing it. You were able to use your saws, obviously good running saws with some thought put into the way you wanted them to run. I as well enjoy going to some one's place, helping them out, having fun while doing it, then going home tired, dirty, sweaty, but, feeling like i did help, and i don't ask for any ''praise'', pat on the back or anything, if i didn't want to help, i wouldn't do it. No one owes me anything, its just being there, getting some thing done that needed,or was wanted to be done, and helping to get it done. Make sense? i think so. Good job by the way, sounds like you REALLY did enjoy it, and every one went home safe that day. If we did more of this as a nation, trust me, we'd be whole lot better off.
