EF2 tornado came through and done some damage yesterday. Had a cedar blown across the road and some other trees blown down but no injuries. The town of Morton had some pretty significant damage done to several homes and a few totally gone but no one seriously hurt praise the lord.

I'm glad you're OK, is that all your cleanup job? Too bad about the homes. I can't imagine having to go through that.

Glad to hear of no injuries, but homes destroyed are so devastating to folks too. Tornadoes are not a good way to make firewood. Thoughts & prayers to the folks affected down there rebelduckman .

Not sure what type of wood they have in central MS but on the coast, they had live oak and (i think), yellow pine. That stuff is much heavier than the yankee counterpart.

    Glad to hear no fatalities.

I had enough of tornadoes when stationed in Lubbock Texas, right in tornado alley.

Not fond of them at all.

I'll take lots of snow rather than deal with tornadoes, hurricanes, or earthquakes.

It’s usually not a good thing when you see your home town roll across the ticker on Fox News Channel

glad you came thru unscathed rebelduckman! May 15 it will be a year since the tonadoes hit up here. There wasnt much in terms of structural damage (other than trees hitting houses), but wood is plentiful. I agree with amateur cutter as its not the way we want firewood. Its amazing how some areas get major tree damage, and a short distance away, nothing.

Evergreens will keep you occupied cutting off all those branches. I swear the branch knots at trunk are the hardest wood in the tree. Only the strong survive but those tornados sure are a nasty weather event.
