I have a budy of mines 61 that he bought cheap not running. I put a new kill switch on it and got it to fire by dumping fuel in the carb. One of the problems is when I turned it on it’s side to put fuel in it ran right back out where the line runs to the carb. I went to the dealer and he said it doesn’t have a specific fuel line that it’s just a 1/4 hose that should fit tight in the hole. I got a new piece of hose and this was not the case. Does anyone know if there should be a grommet there and if so where I can get one. The other problem is there is a hole in the case right in the chain adjuster slot that appears to have been j.b. welded at one time. Is this an aluminum or magnesium case? If aluminum I can probably weld it. Does anyone have an easier fix for this?
Fuel line goes thru 2 HOLES....1st out of plastic tank = needs tight seal. 2nd thru mag crankcase hole = not tight seal. You need to drop tank/handle out from under crankcase to insert fuel line. See the tight fit hole in pic. They still make AM lines. 501285901 | eBay
Looking again at pics...if tank hole lines up well with case hole...you can shove a real fuel line in (with the "grommet" at mid point) and pull down from inside tank with long needle nose pliers.

Wow, that's quite the hole in the oil trough. What MAY work: Scrape off all jbweld. Empty oil tank and clean all oil residue off inside and outside this area. Cut thin sheet metal (like a washer instrument panel) to fit in trough. Thin layer of jbweld under cut sheet metal. Turn saw with bar bolts down and back fill hole with jbweld from inside. Spitballing idea....If wall is thick enough to tap threads - 8mm? 10mm? 7/16"? ... you might get a bolt in from the inside and screw it flush with trough...Like a decomp valve bolt. Above is some serious jury rigging. A sure fix is replace the clutch side case half without extra holes but that is a big job.
I used JB weld on mine. Has been working fine since. No leaks there. If you didn't know, that hole is from tightening the bar nuts when the chain adjuster isn't I'd the hole in the bar. Real easy to do it on those models. Ask me how I know....
