The old Settlers cemetery a few miles down the road. Every spring the crocuses suddenly appear from nowhere! It was 25* overnight into yesterday when I took the pictures and 23* overnight into today but the flowers don't lie, it's almost spring! 20190304_111417_resized (2).jpg 20190304_111427_resized (2).jpg 20190304_111504_resized (2).jpg 20190304_111515_resized (2).jpg

Connecticut’s first sign of spring and state flower is the pothole. Starting to bloom all over the place :)

Michigan must blow those seeds over to you......not like we need all of 'em. There's more than enough of those growing here. Always have been.:picard:

Crocus can naturalize like that from just a few planted cultivated bulbs in a garden nearby. We have the purple ones that come up all over here but none were planted in the lawn. Every now and then I'll see a yellow one but I've never noticed a white one.

Very pretty, we won't see anything like that here for a while. The ground is frozen solid, and deep. And then there is the snow on top of that. We usually see Daffodils in mid April, we didn't plant Crocus.

Got lots of them here too! The heavy freezes (for the PNW) we had earlier this winter have the asphalt overlays popping into potholes everywhere! Every contractor cheats on the liquid asphalt tack/seal layer! The spray truck goes nice and slow past the Inspector then speeds to 40mph as soon as he turns his back

How'd you get a picture of my backyard Loon ? Looks just like that here. First flowers here are usually Snowdrop's on the south facing banks of the roads. Gonna be awhile yet I think.

I thought I got a lot of crocuses every year in my strawberry beds, but that is insane!
A lot of the snow from my sidewalk and driveway ended up in the berry beds, so there's still a big white pile there. But a few crocuses have popped up where the snow has melted away.

But didn't you see the gov says the roads will be fixed. All it takes is money, money and more money. Just had a .26 cent raise in gas tax and now they want another .45. When is enough enough?

Would love to start seeing flowers again. But then, would also love to start seeing the ground again.
