View attachment 181362 View attachment 181362 Local auction house score. Stihl chainsaw pants, a chain, and small toolbox with some odds and ends. I knew about chaps and have a pair. Didn’t know about pants. These will be great on cold days when layering wth chaps added on would be cumbersome. Couple of scwrenches. You can always use extra. Around 16 bucks with commission. Woohoo,
I don’t think many were sold. App ars to be discontinued from the catalog. I will see how they work out.
I picked them up today. They are reinforced on the front side. I think they will work well for me. I am usually immediately throwing sawing clothes into the washer.
I use Stihl chainsaw pants. Basically denim with several layers of protection sewn in. I hate chaps, hate the buckles and straps, the pants go on just like normal pants and I hold 'em up with red suspenders. Too hot to wear in summer though.
I have worn out them once so far. They are comfortable and I agree the straps and buckle on chaps can turn into a hazard in some situations. I am saving mine for the brisk, all day adventures this winter
I owned 2 pair of chaps , gave a new pair to a friend and have the older pair in the truck just in case . I own 4 pair and wear chainsaw pants when out cutting . Safety Pants and Chaps | STIHL Personal Protective Equipment To me pants are more comfortable , less cumbersome and offer better protection . Yes they aren't the cheapest , but neither are designer jeans , unfortunately the wife won't let me wear them when we go out lol
I have these, hot in the summer but all the other seasons are awesome. I got them for $40 on clearance a couple of years ago. Nice and heavy for the winter too. Ill just wear moisture wicking base layer with them and nothing else. I think they are so much better than full or 1/2 wrap Forester Extreme Black Chainsaw Pants - PCOS
