Sinngetreau and I had a tree job to take down a couple walnuts for my coworkers today. We were told that we could take down anything in the fence line so we dropped all four mulberrys  And no birdhouses were harmed in the process  IMG_0200.JPG IMG_0202.JPG

Worst part was moving the brush, took longer than anything else. Our arms were all tore up!

And again, no birdhouses were harmed!
It was a good day. We got some good wood and got to do some felling and cutting. Gotta love it.

And we got to wear hard hats with As Seen on FHC-TV stickers on them. BTW, anyone who wanted those stickers-- please be patient-- I am having a hard time getting into the post office to get stamps to mail them out. And at least no bird houses were totaled.

    And no bird motels either.
Grizz, you should post a pic of your hard hat so people can get an idea of what it looks like!

Yeah, I should. But the hat is in my truck and I am in my pajamas. BTW, I think if we keep using the plural version of bird house no one will catch on to the fact that we dropped a tree right on a 4 story bird house. This is a private message, right :D

Yeah......private. Sure! Lord knows how embarrassing it would be if people found out that the first drop we did wiped out a bird motel and bent the pole to a 45! ;)

No cameras running, don't like doing that on a job site (as opposed to home based, fellow hoarders property, and wood dumps).

And then when we snapped the whole pole off when we tried to straighten it up. And all the bird feces infested nesting materials that got in your eyes. I am sure glad none of these guys know about that.

Yeah, no kidding, I would be so embarrassed. No one would believe me when I told them that the wind took it from me. :emb:

So you really liked those tongs, huh? Here is a link to the ones I have, and here is on to those Timber Tuff ones I was talking about. Not sure if they are as big as the Husqy ones.

They do seem a bit smaller in the picture. I will check Bomgaars to see if they have any in stock and see what they look like in person. I really liked the Husky ones, but the price is a bit stiff.

I am pretty sure I saw the 8" ones in stock there. We are going on Monday if you want me to check it out.
