I have a 362 cm and love that little saw. I don't really see the 'need' for any type of mod, but then, why not? It's not about 'need', its just a case of the 'wanties'!

Soooo... my question is what exactly will a muffler mod do for the saw, besides making it sound cool?

I modded mine. A little louder but sounds really good. Seems to have more power and better throttle response but that's just based on feel....I didn't do any times cuts or anything.

This saw is about as easy as it gets to do. Just need to pull the muffler and drill one hole next to the stock outlet. I have a thread on here somewhere showing what I did.

Edit: Easy MS 362CM Muffler Mod

Thanks, that's about as easy as it gets. It just seems every hoarder should have a least one modded saw, even if it's just a simple muffler mod!;)

Any idea if my version 1 261cm would have the same muffler? Looks like a pretty easy upgrade the way lukem did it
