I want to get a bigger dog for my saw. This model comes with one small, almost unusable felling spike. Anybody have this model and know of an "upgrade" ? I don't think it matters, but these saws have only one bar nut, all though the spike is on the other side of the cover.

I cannot see that being a big seller so I doubt an upgrade is available to buy.

Myself, I would just take the current one off, and using it as a pattern, make a new one that meets your needs with longer spikes. A drill and grinder with a metal cut off wheel is all you would need for tools.

You may be able to adapt a bigger dog like Husky 372. Mine are 48mm center to center holes. 450 shows 52mm. So, elongate holes 2mm. If other aspects work.
