Had to come up with a new stacking area this week. I’m running out of room. I need to get a wood shed built so I can tightly load in at least 5 cords to leave me more space for seasoning wood.

The most recent new stack is on the outskirts of the treehouse. This is a bit under 2 cords. I have another 1 1/2-2 cords split already that I would like continue my firewood “wall” with. This after stacking two cords underneath part of the treehouse about this same time last year.

This is only about 20-25 feet from the road. Hopefully nobody gets greedy and helps themselves to it.

Stack it where you can. Sun and wind it'll season.

For a small yard a 10x10 chain link dog kennel would hold about 4.5 cord. Some you can put a roof of different types on. Most come with a gate you can put a lock on. Certainly not 100% theft proof but would deter the low energy opportunist.

That is a great idea! I bet you could pick up a used pen on Craigslist. Dog-Kennel.jpg

I’m thinking of the stack in the pics as a hybrid. It’s a traditional stack on the outsides, but I threw all my shorties and oddball pieces into the middle.

Looking great saewoody stack it where you can! I just put together a small woodshed to hold about 2 cords. I also took advantage of my covered porch out front. We love the look added some real rustic farmhouse look to the home! That Pen is also a great idea!!
