    Hmmmmm, almost look scripted .....

Trying to get their fan base back
    & improve TV ratings ?????

....It is an entertainment industry ....

Nah not the NFL!!! They are all in it for the love of the game. They would never make it about money.....

NFL..............the football version of NASCAR. Unfortunately it is turning into a stage show with a lot of over-paid, underachievers trying to make to owners rich. College football is much better than the NFL but is starting to go the same way as well. Too bad!!

As skeptical as I am, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had these same thoughts!

One of the reasons I don't watch anymore. It used to be a traditional life event not anymore!

Reminds me of ancient Romes colesseum.

You mean like that penalty at the ebd of last night's game that let Aaron Rodgers retain the ball instead of heading to overtime?

    A Disney movie
where th high $$$$ Stars , in the final seconds, miraculously win the game.

Seems very staged & poorly rehearsed .:deadhorse:

I quit watching years ago when they started treating quarterbacks like paperdolls and you were flagged for playing football.
    It's even worst now.

Yup. I don't follow much of it anymore. Same with baseball. When there gets to be the amount of dollars in it that there is, there is bound to be a lot of crookedness.

Give me a college game anyday-actually prefer DIII college games, or a good HS game. Benefit of my Direct TV is I get a bunch of these kind of games.

I agree with Will. I much prefer college football. Something about the band, the student section, the players playing to prove themselves.

Budweiser had locked beer refrigerators around Cleveland as a promotional campaign. They were to open via a wireless signal when the Browns won their first game in over a year allowing fans access to free beer. Browns won kind of early, beer was dispersed and Budweiser had mini fridges ready to sell the next day.

Seems a little too "marketed" for my tastes.
Browns fans: Free beer coming the moment the team wins

Cleanest sport there is, don't you know. That's why there is no professional betting on the matches!

Am with all you guys and feel the same way!!! Pro sports has become a joke, NFL talks out of both sides of their mouth. They want less injury but run games on Thurs, Sunday, Sunday Nite, Monday night and now overseas all to make a buck. If I could be given a pill (kinda like Neo in the Matrix) to make me not care about my team anymore or any sports but mostly football I'd take it everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. It's almost like a sick addiction kinda like wood hoarding.....I can't shake and now with Wentz as our QB I just love that kid to death, and just cheer him on!! Wish half the NFL were players in the class category as Wentz!!

I’ve no trouble with them chasing the $$$,
They are an entertainment business .
    A good business model.
Just not so sure now the games are on the up & up. Maybe they never were? Seems a
    bit more overthe top now.

    For me
    Phony sports competition , the
made up drama , is getting old.
Maybe all pro sports are that way.

Now Golf, that’s what we need more of :D

All those beatings. All those jumps off the top ropes. All, those vicious punches.

Not a single bruise.

    Yes!
It's mostly all tv that does it, from the news to car shows to the alaskan Bush people.....
It's all about entertainment and ratings.
    People eat it up.
