As a precaution, my uncle is pulling his boat from Great Bay, NJ for the season. The Carolinas are supposed to take a direct hit, but he doesn't want to leave it to chance. I had six trees dropped in my backyard last week, it hasn't stopped raining since they hit the ground. The logs are sitting in 6" of water. I'm really hoping we don't go from summer heat right into winter this year.

This is my concern as well. Any wind will take out all kinds of trees. If that happens hopefully damage is minimal and then it will be time to :saw::tree::axe::stacker:

The other problem is wind taking out corn that should be harvested soon. With the current milk market the farmers certainly dont need to take a hit on crops.

here in Northeast Ohio, I believe the news said we are a 1/4" away from the wettest september on record. Not nearly as much as you guys though.
My back 40 is soup where I stack my wood. I thought it was firm enough Friday evening to drive on it, ended up sinking in with a load of wood.

Looks like the weather pattern/front that has been bringing rain to the south of me all weekend is finally going to move.
Not quite cool enough for a fire but cool enough outside for a hoodie. Supposed to warm back up a bit once this rain finally goes by.

Flash flood warnings again in SE PA. I usually wait for 4-5 consecutive dry days in September to tarp my wood for the heating season. I don't think I am going to get that opportunity this year. I am most bummed out about my deck that has been only half stained for about a month. Also, my local river has been running high and muddy all summer. I may need to start hoarding by boat. I'm sure lots of BTUs have floated down the Delaware this summer.

BIG storm headed our way for Thurs eve. With the ground so saturated, they are already warning of the danger of tree's uprooting.

We actually had a really nice day here in central Alberta. My buddy and I went out to our gun clubs range to work on the expansion we're putting in. Everything is soaked. There's standing water everywhere. Every plant, tree and blade of grass is green green green. More rain in the forecast, but we're just teetering on the bitter edge of frost.

I saw this much rain fall in one season about 12 years ago. I'm looking forward to some colder temps. We need a good 6" of frozen ground to get anything useful done out at the range.

I just can't fathom some of these rain totals people are seeing. It's so disgusting/depressing! I feel for everyone affected. Christ I get uptight when we get a couple inches.

Hmm? I just got back from a road trip to B-more for Jeep tires. While on the beltway, it raised H E double hockey sticks! People driving 25, pulled off the sides, under bridges etc. Guess that was the storm? Didn't look like it did much of anything around here. Glad for that, if it's the case.
